Whenever we travel we try to go snorkeling or do some kind of water activity. We love being in the ocean and exploring what is below. I first looked up some tours to do snorkeling and found Snuba tours. This is a lot like snorkeling and scuba diving together, towing an air can behind you. While trying to schedule this tour I was told by the ownder that they can not do the snuba tours due to the Covid protocols. I then asked if they knew anywhere we could still go snorkling and was informed they do that as well, he also gave me some info on being scuba diving if we were intrested in that. We decided to just go with the snorkling, so we didnt have to do the extra training before hand.

I scheduled for the four of us to go and paid 25% of the total bill (80.00 USD) before going. It was cheaper for everyone to pay the rest in cash the day of leaving. Once we got there we wer fitted for flippers and wet suits if we wanted them. Then we were told to fallow the truck and they would lead us to where we would meet the boat. By the time we got into the car and ready to go they were already gone. Once we were able to figure out where they went we got to take a small floating barge to the boat.

Our guide Matt was with us the whole time, when we got onto the boat he filled us in on what to expect during the whole trip. The skuba drivers went out first, after suiting up they dropped off the boat into the deaper water heading into the island. We went in close to the island the water was still really choppy by the rocky edge. There was a small sand bar but not much of a shore. In the bay there was a large rock reef, the tide was changing when we were there causing the water to be very murkey. But we did still get to see some fish at least, while I was fighting with my camera our guide called us over to see something. I was unable to get there in time but turns out it was a white finned shark. After this all of us some how swam through a jelly fish fild. It didnt get mos of us to bad but of coures got my mom good, getting stuck around her coper braclet. The boat came back around soon after and we all got back on, meeting back with the skuba team we all had some snacks.

The skuba team went back out to a second location, this one was much more choppy then the first. We all decided not to go back out again and just wait for the skuba team. While we were waiting we had a pod of rough-toothed dolphins swim past our boat. Our captin played along back with them as they raced the boat over and over again.

When the skuba team came back up we heard about how they got to swim with some manta-rays and how the large amazing animals swam right over them. Next time we go somewhere I really wanna look into doing the snuba or skuba diving, snorkling isent as fun in the deap parts of the ocean, nor where it is really choppy water.
