$90 USA for the night room for three.

Farm tour $ 14 USA a piece

Night hike $20 USA a piece

Our tour to see the dinosaurs ran later than we had planned. This put us behind for our

over a two-hour drive to the Finca Verde farm. The last tour they have going around the farm is at 4 pm, before leaving the blue river resort I called the farm asking if it would be ok if we were 30 min late. I was told that this would be ok and that we could still have a tour around the farm when we got there. Once we arrived we had to track down the manager, Jeorge to find out what cabin was ours. He was obviously drunk and seemed to have forgotten my call 2 hours earlier when I gave him our names and that we would be staying there that night (since their computer shut down earlier.) We asked if we would still be able to take a tour around the farm, but we were told that would not be possible now. When I mentioned that during our call he said we would be able to and that we would be leaving at 5 am he took us around to see if we could find any sloths.

The first sloth we got to see on our trip, was on its way to the upper branches for the night. We caught him as he was quickly maneuvering up from the middle of the tree. He was going much faster than we expected and I almost didn't catch him on camera after we found where he was at. After we saw him we were introduced to one of the tour guides named Miguel who was finishing with a tour and agreed to show us around a little more! We got to see two more sloths with him. One even had a baby with her but we were unable to see the baby. When this was done we had some dinner, they had some very yummy fish.

Our main reason for wanting to stay here was the night hike, we got a guided tour from another guide named Harrison who was extremely knowledgeable. After the rains that happened the frogs were very abundant on the trails. We all were given flashlights to peek around the dark and see what we could. We saw around 6 different types of frogs, the red-eye tree frog, glass frog, hourglass tree frog, tink frog, and the pygmy tree frog. None of these are deadly poisonous, the worst that could happen is if you held one with your bare hands for too long your skin would start to tingle. The biggest threat out there would be the vipers though we didn't see any while out our guide was good at checking for them. We teased him saying that he must have had his viper repellent on cause none came out.

Though we had fun on our tours I would not recommend spending the night here, the beds were not comfortable. The shower hot water adapter made me fear it may shock me when I took a shower, same with some of the outlets.
